When Walt Disney's two daughters were young, Sundays were daddy/daughter days.   It was during one of these afternoons, while Walt was sitting alone on a park bench, watching his girls ride the merry-go-round for the umpteenth time, that it occurred to him - there should be a place where parents and kids can have fun together.

It was the beginning of a revolutionary idea.  Disneyland opened in July of 1955 and has done nothing less than change the world.
